(India Today)A team of Delhi Police has busted one ‘Gulel Gang’ and arrested its four members.
The gang has been operating across the city, committing a large number of thefts by breaking glasses of cars parked on road sides near markets and offices.Police have recovered nine stolen laptops, three Apple Tabs, nine cellphones, dozens of laptop bags and other electronic articles from the possession of the four members of the gang.The case had connections in Haryana too.
The Delhi Police found that sales of the stolen goods were made in Hisar town in Haryana, and nabbed the receiver.The gang was arrested after the police started an investigation in a car theft case reported on September 2.
Some unidentified persons had broken the glass of a sedan car parked in front of the Gargi College on the Siri Fort road and stole a bag that contained Apple Laptop and Apple IPad.
The car belonged to a doctor of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi.The police team collected the CCTV footage near the spot and it was revealed that the accused persons came in an auto rickshaw without number plate and committed the crime.The arrested men have been identified as Zakir, Ankit, Ajay and Mukesh.
