NEW DELHI: 20 BTech graduates, two MTechs and 14 post graduates in science are among the newly inducted sleuths in the rank of sub inspectors in CBI.

Besides their usual training, these men have been trained in new age investigation tools like DNA fingerprinting, forensic medicine, brain mapping and narco analysis techniques, an agency spokesperson said.“They have also received specialised training in anti-corruption probe, banking and other economic offences and cases of online child sexual abuse besides a certified fraud examiner training from USA,” the official said.On Friday, CBI director Praveen Sood said during the investiture ceremony of these cops that their real test would start now as they will be required to put in practice the important lessons learnt during multi-faceted training imparted at the CBI Academy.Highlighting that the faith reposed by public, government and judiciary was a matter of great pride for members of the probe agency, Sood referred to the ethos of CBI which lie in the philosophy of working hard but quietly.

Asking the officers to be fair and just while discharging duties, Sood asked officers to work smartly besides working hard.

The agency chief advised officers to keep upgrading and updating their knowledge and skill set, specially with regard to new-age crimes occurring in cyber space.
