NEW DELHI: On Monday afternoon, there were violent confrontations at Nuh Chowk when approximately 80 vehicles and motorcycles, carrying participants of the Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra, were prevented from proceeding towards a Shiv temple in Nalhar.

Vehicles, police stations, shops and petrol pumps are torched.

Youths from both sides threw stones at each other.
