At a programme held at CM's camp office here on Monday, the Chief Minister stated that the main objective in developing Jagananna Vidya Deevena scheme was to make education accessible to the poor trainees.

He described about a series of schemes rolled out to promote education like Jagananna Goru Mudha, Amma Vodi and Vasati Deevena in order to guarantee that no household ought to fall into financial obligations for the sake of supplying education for their children.
He stated that under Jagananna Vidya Deevena scheme, so far, an amount of Rs 4,879 crore was spent on 10.88 lakh trainees.
