NEW DELHI: The Nifty PSU Bank index was flat in Wednesday's morning session with most of its components trading in red.The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.14 per cent down at 3009.35 around 10:41 am.
Shares of Canara Bank (down 1.08 per cent), Union Bank of India (down 1.01 per cent), Syndicate Bank (down 0.68 per cent ) and Oriental Bank of Commerce (down 0.64 per cent) were top losers in index.
Bank of India (down 0.56 per cent), Indian Bank (down 0.28 per cent) and IDBI Bank (down 0.26 per cent) too were trading with losses.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 8.15 points at 10,914.60 while BSE Sensex was down 53.33 points at 36,391.31.
Among 50 stocks in Nifty index, 26 were trading in green, while 23 were in red.
Shares of YES Bank, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, Sun Pharma, Ashok Leyland, SAIL, Wipro, ITC, Vedanta , Tata Steel and Hindalco Industries were among most traded shares on NSE.
