Karachi: China Geological Survey Research Ship (CGS) "Hai Yang Di Zhi Shi Hao" visited Pakistan for Hydrocarbon research and geological mapping under the auspices of Pakistan Navy.CGS Research Ship undertook this expedition from Dec 18 to Feb 19.
Pakistan Navy hosted the CGS research ship "HAI YANG DI ZHI SHI HAO" at Karachi port.
The visit of research ship was fabricized after the assembly of Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi with Vice Minister China Geological Survey (CGS) Dr.
Zhong Ziran, in Beijing final year.During the expedition, CGS ship conducted various Seismic and Oceanographic observations in the offshore area of Pakistan.
Along with Chinese scientists, scientists from National Institute of Oceanography and Pakistan Navy also participated in the expedition.
The acquired data shall be jointly processed by Pakistani and Chinese scientists.
This expedition is in line with growing cooperation between China and Pakistan in the field of geological survey and oceanography.
This cooperation in the field of offshore research shall continue in future and amuchher expedition from CGS has also been planned in approach future.
It is expected that these expeditions shall assist in resource mapping of our offshore areas.TheIndianSubcontinent has not verified the content of the source.
