NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading in the green in Thursday's morning session.Shares of Federal Bank (up 1.41 per cent) , IDFC First Bank (up 0.67 per cent) , RBL Bank (up 0.66 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 0.54 per cent) were trading with gains.YES Bank (up 0.53 per cent) , HDFC Bank (up 0.37 per cent) , IndusInd Bank (up 0.34 per cent) and ICICI Bank (up 0.29 per cent) too were trading higher.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.21 per cent up at 26,856.65 around 12:19 pm.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 4.55 points at 10,811.20 while the BSE Sensex was up 22.50 points at 35,927.93.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
Shares of Ashok Leyland, YES Bank, ONGC, SAIL, ITC, Tata Motors, SBI, NTPC, BHEL, NMDC and ICICI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
