NEW DELHI: Shares of Private banks were trading on a mixed note in Tuesday's afternoon session.Shares of IndusInd Bank (up 1.55 per cent), YES Bank (up 0.91 per cent) and Axis Bank (up 0.14 per cent) were trading with gains.
IDFC First Bank (down 1.97 per cent), Federal Bank (down 1.53 per cent), HDFC Bank (down 0.72 per cent) and ICICI Bank (down 0.55 per cent) were trading lower.
The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.22 per cent down at 17,186.55 around 02:05 pm.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 33.60 points at 11,702.75 while the BSE Sensex was up 168.02 points at 39,039.89.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
Shares of Tata Motors, BEL, Bank of Baroda, SBI, YES Bank, SAIL, Bharti Airtel, DLF and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
