NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading in the positive zone in Friday's morning session.Shares of RBL Bank (up 1.93 per cent), YES Bank (up 1.77 per cent), Federal Bank (up 1.47 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (up 1.41 per cent) were the top performers in the index.
Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.76 per cent), Bank of Baroda (up 0.53 per cent), IDFC First Bank (up 0.46 per cent) and Axis Bank (up 0.30 per cent) too were trading higher.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.32 per cent up at 30,001.85 around 10:22 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 37.60 points at 11,635.60 while the BSE Sensex was up 108.85 points at 38,793.57.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of Tata Motors, SAIL, YES Bank, Indiabulls Housing Finance, SBI, Bank of Baroda, Ashok Leyland, Cipla, BHEL, DLF and LT Fin Holding were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
