NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday's morning session.Shares of Amara Raja Batteries (up 1.02 per cent), TVS Motor Company (up 0.68 per cent), Bharat Forge (up 0.59 per cent) and MRF (up 0.42 per cent) were trading higher.
Tata Motors (down 1.30 per cent), Ashok Leyland (down 0.69 per cent), Exide Industries (down 0.54 per cent) and Bajaj Auto (down 0.38 per cent) were trading lower.
The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.08 per cent down at 8683.40 around 09:50 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 21.95 points at 11,618.65 while the BSE Sensex was up 89.90 points at 38,696.91.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, BHEL, SAIL, DLF, Indian Oil Corp, SBI, Bank of Baroda, Infosys, BPCL, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Bharti Airtel and Wipro were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
