KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had to call off its 'Foundation Day ' mass meeting in Karachi after a fight erupted among its supporters during the MPA Haleem Adil Sheikh's address at Gulshan-e-Iqbal's Mangal Bazaar ground on Sunday.
PTI's power show in Karachi didn't go as planned.
It failed to display discipline and unity.
The situation turned sour after a group of supporters started chanting slogans against party leaders after MPA Haleem Adil Sheikh came to address the party 23rd Youm-e-Tasees (Foundation Day).The 'Foundation Day' conference turned violent after the supporters, who indulged in heated arguments, started throwing chairs at one amuchher and measure even pelted stones.
Diverse things were thrown at the women's enclodegree too.The charged activists got divided into two groups and started fighting each other, using sticks, chairs and water bottles, while the PTI leadership, Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Khurram Sher Zaman, and others managed to escape from the venue rather than trying to resolve the issue and defuse the situation.PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh also left the mass meeting after abrief address and the workers continually fought each other at different spots as they were going back home.
