NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading in the positive zone in Monday's morning session.
Shares of Tech Mahindra (up 2.22 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 2.03 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services (up 2.01 per cent) and Infosys (up 1.78 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
NIIT Technologies (up 1.71 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (up 0.93 per cent), Tata Elxsi (up 0.80 per cent) and Wipro (up 0.80 per cent) too were trading in the green.
The Nifty IT index was trading 1.63 per cent up at 16,371.90 around 10:06 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 84.15 points at 11,954.80 while the BSE Sensex was up 301.69 points at 39,917.59.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.
