NEW DELHI: Shares of private banks were trading on a mixed note on Friday's morning session.Shares of IDFC First Bank (up 6.44 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 1.24 per cent), RBL Bank (up 0.72 per cent) and HDFC Bank (up 0.72 per cent) were among the top gainers in the index.While IndusInd Bank (down 0.75 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.50 per cent), YES Bank (down 0.21 per cent) and Axis Bank (down 0.14 per cent) were among the top losers.The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.36 per cent up at 16,276.65 around 09:38 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 24.20 points at 11,606.8, while BSE Sensex was up 115.52 points at 39,135.91.
Among the 50 stocks in Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IDFC First Bank, ITC, SBI, Indiabulls Housing, Bharti Airtel, SAIL, Bharti Infratel and Tata Motors were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
