HYDERABAD: The Telangana state government on Tuesday issued orders imposing night curfew throughout the state with instant effect from 9 pm up until 5 am every day approximately May 1 to consist of the spread of the Coronavirus.Orders to this impact were released vide GO MS No.
87 by way of a follow-up to a directive from the High Court to the federal government to impose lockdown or night curfew.
The various procedures to control Covid-19 in the state have been examined.
It is decided to introduce a night curfew in the state as a more step to prevent the spread of Covid-19, chief secretary Somesh Kumar stated in the order.During the curfew duration, all workplaces, shops, facilities, restaurants etc shall stay close from 8 pm except for health centers, diagnostic labs, drug stores, and those handling the supply of essential services.
The vital services consist of the print and electronic media, telecom and internet services, transmitting services, IT and IT allowed services, shipment of all goods through e-commerce, gas pumps, LPG and CNG, petroleum and gas outlet, power generation, transmission and distribution, water supply and sanitation, coal storage and warehousing services, personal security services and production services or units that require uninterrupted services.
The order said all persons are restricted from roadways and other public locations from 9 pm other than those involved in vital services.
Those exempted also consist of government authorities on emergency situation responsibility, all private medical personnel, pregnant ladies and patients for healthcare, individuals originating from or going to airport, train stations and bus stations.There is no limitation on inter-state or intra-state movement of important and non-essential products.
No different authorization or passes will be needed for such motions.
Public transportation cars, consisting of cars and taxis will be enabled to operate within a stated time.
Violation of this order will lead to case registration and prosecution.
