KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 27Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the main priority of the current government is good governance and development.He said this while inaugurating Bikas Hydropower Company through electronic means in Baluwatar this morning.

"We will focus on good governance, social justice and development," he said. He mentioned that the opening of hydropower in Gorkha district was the beginning of development.

He assured that employment would be guaranteed to the local people.PM Dahal said maintaining political stability was a challenge in the past, adding that he was confident about providing stability this time around."This year passed as an election year.

The local level elections, provincial and federal elections, were held successfully.

After the presidential and vice-presidential elections, the election process will be over for five years.

This has created a new basis for expediting the process of implementing the constitution and development."PM Dahal further said, "As a representative of the people of Gorkha, I would like to thank you very much for providing me the opportunity to inaugurate this hydropower company.

I want to assure you that the company will come up with other projects in the future as well."PM Dahal also gave special thanks for the contribution of the Nepalis to the indigenous and Non-resident Nepalis Association involved in the project.Meanwhile, the meeting held today by the Cabinet of Nepal government has decided to publish the names of martyrs of the People's War and People's Movement in the Nepal Gazette.After the meeting, Spokesperson and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma delivered this information.Detailed information regarding decisions of the Council of Ministers will be made public at the regular press conference.The government is going to publish the details of martyrs who received martyrdom in the People's War that started on 13 February 1996 and the people's movement of 2006 in Nepal.A version of this article appears in the print on February 28, 2023, of The Himalayan Times. .
