LUCKNOW: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that the overall development of 'Dharmanagari' Ayodhya is one of the top priorities of the government in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and emphasised that the temple town will be a "model city of urban development".
"People of the country and the world are eager to see 'divya, bhavya - navya' Ayodhya.
We have to ensure that every devotee/tourist visiting Ayodhya goes back with a special sense of peace, contentment and joy," he said.
The CM carried out a late night review of development projects in Ayodhya on Wednesday, visiting Guptar Ghat and the newly constructed Guptar Ghat Park.The CM, who is on a two-day visit to Ayodhya, also inspected Suraj Kund and saw a laser show there.Earlier in the day, the CM visited Hanumangarhi temple where he performed puja and then reviewed the construction work of Ram Temple.
He also held a meeting with the officials of various departments to assess the pace and quality of other major infrastructural projects.The CM stressed on the need to develop Ayodhya into aworld-class tourist city with its religious and cultural values intact.
The face of Ayodhya will change soon.
Take necessary action to enhance the grandeur and attractiveness of Ayodhya Dham.
It should be a world class city and the focal point of Sana tanDharma, he said.
He said the departments carrying out projects in Ayodhya should work in tandem and prepare a holistic plan for better implementation.The CM directed the policemen to be sensit ive towards devotees and tourists and ensure strong law and order.
A balanced plan for uninterrupted water supply should be made.
Sewerage work and solarisation of Ayodhya should be done at the earliest, he said.The CM said that projects under Ayodhya Vision shouldbe completed on priority.Officials informed him that ar ound 30% of the work on Rampath from Sahadatganj to Nayaghat had been completed and the project would be completed by December 31, 2023.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Path will pan from Sugriva Qila to the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple, they said.
Officials said that around 44% of the work on Bhakti Path, from Ayodhya Cantt to the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple via R ampath and Hanumangarhi has been completed.
