The National Administration of Public Education of Uruguay (ANEP) and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) have initiated a partnership.The agreement focuses on the progressive implementation of IB programs within Uruguays educational system.The collaboration entails the Swiss organizations technical advice and knowledge transfer to Uruguay for embedding IB programs, developing teacher training plans, and conducting cooperative seminars and conferences.Robert Silva, ANEPs president, views this partnership as a significant step in the evolution of the countrys education, aligning with its current educational transformation endeavors.Photo Internet reproduction.He noted ANEPs growth in international language certifications, including the attainment of authorized examiner status by the University of Cambridge.IBs Director General, Olli-Pekka Heinonen, affirmed their commitment to the dynamic evolution of curricula to suit diverse global realities.He emphasized the need to equip students with a robust skill set to thrive amidst uncertainties posed by factors such as artificial intelligence and climate change.The partnership facilitates cooperative exchanges between educational institutions within the IBs network, which includes around 5,000 schools worldwide and a study program accredited in over a hundred countries.The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) is a non-profit educational foundation that provides four high-quality and challenging educational programs for a worldwide community of schools.It offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and Career-related Programme (CP) aimed at students aged 3 to 19.The IBO is globally recognized for its rigorous curriculum that encourages critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and respect for diversity among students.
