The kidnapper left the boy, Vivek Kori, around 500 metres from his house at Ashok Nagar slum in Andheri (East) on noticing stray dogs barking incessantly because of Leo the Doberman sniffer dog who was tasked to find the child and managed to track him down within 90 minutes of being pressed into service. The Powai police who registered a case of kidnap against an unknown person said the boy was found in an open ground in the neighbourhood.
The boy was abducted around 8pm when he was playing outside his hutment.
