KATHMANDU, MARCH 28Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal emphasized ending the recurring situation of requesting budgets every fiscal year without effectively spending the capital allocation. This issue must be addressed within the remaining period," Prime Minister Dahal stated. He instructed all ministers and chief ministers to take charge of development and construction efforts to ensure full utilization of the available budget, emphasizing measures to enhance capital expenditure.Prime Minister Dahal acknowledged the progress of some ministries and national pride projects while urging all projects, including Sunkoshi Marin Diversion Multi-Purpose Project, Kaligandaki Corridor (Gaindakot-Ramdi Section), and Lumbini Area Development Trust, to achieve 100% results within the stipulated timeframe.Highlighting the economic benefits of government spending, he stressed the importance of timely expenditure to mobilize resources from the private sector, cooperatives, communities, and development partners.He advocated for a shift towards result-oriented thinking across all government sectors, emphasizing the need to uplift the morale of the people by safeguarding the achievements attained through political struggles.Prime Minister Dahal underscored the importance of objective and effective monitoring and evaluation, urging the completion of national pride, transformative, and priority projects within designated timelines and budgets.Moreover, he mentioned amendments to project-related standards and emphasized budget preparation to address infrastructure development disparities and duplication, aligning with the government's policy priorities for good governance, social justice, and prosperity.He also stressed the incorporation of government policy priorities into the Periodic Plan.The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Ministers Raghubir Mahaseth, Rabi Lamichhane, and Upendra Yadav, along with government ministers, provincial chief ministers, NPC Vice Chairman Dr.

Min Bahadur Shrestha, Government Chief Secretary Dr.

Baikuntha Aryal, and secretaries from various ministries. .
