The foreigners, who were trekking along the Manaslu trekking route, were rescued from Bhimtang of Nason Rural Municipality-7 in the district on Monday.Subash Kumar Lamichhane, the Chief District Officer of Manang, stated that the tourists received basic treatment in Chame, the district headquarters of Manang, before being airlifted to Kathmandu in a helicopter.
According to CDO Lamichhane, the rescued tourists include two South African citizens and two from New Zealand.Additionally, CDO Lamichhane urged foreigners to take precautions while trekking, emphasizing the risk of falling ill due to temperature differences.
