It is one of the four global animated film celebrations sponsored by the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA).
The celebration is a competition in between animated films of different strategies (traditional, cut-outs, claymation, CGI, and so on) categorized in various classifications, consisting of feature films, short films, movies produced for television and marketing, trainee films, and movies produced the internet.Throughout the festival, in addition to the competing movies forecasted in numerous movie theaters of the city, an al fresco night projection is organized on Pquier, in the center of the town, amongst the lake and with the mountains.
