NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 11:28AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.
Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 0.92 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 0.64 per cent), Canara Bank(up 0.53 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 0.3 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bank of Baroda(down 0.85 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.58 per cent), Federal Bank Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.3 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.23 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.01 per cent at 56797.4 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 5.8 points at 25399.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 34.25 points at 83205.22.
Live Events Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, PC Jeweller, Ola Electric Mobilit, RattanIndia Power and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Sindhu Trade, Sumeet Ind, SML Isuzu, Prime Focus and Reliance Naval & Engg hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Stampede Cap(DVR), Sadhana Nitro, Indogulf Cropscience, Globe Civil Projects and Dreamfolks Services hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
