NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Sarthak Ind(up 19.98%), Viji Finance(up 19.92%) and Salem Erode Invest(up 17.56%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 166.78 points down at 82467.7, while the 50-share index, NSE was 50.71 points down at 25161.35.
In the Nifty50 index, 20 stocks traded in the green, while 30 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Sarthak Ind, Salem Erode Invest, LE Travenues Techno, Kalpa Commercial Ltd.
and Gujarat Apollo hit their fresh 52-week high, while Mercury Trade Links, Omega Inter.Tech, SPS Intnl, IO System Ltd and LCC Infotech touched their new 52-week low during the session.
