NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 375.24 points down at 82259.24 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Jayaswal Neco(down 18.67 per cent), Suryo Foods Ind(down 12.95 per cent), Samrat Forgings(down 12.80 per cent), Aryan Shares & Stock(down 9.93 per cent) and Deco-Mica Ltd(down 9.69 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 31 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 100.6 points down at 25111.45.
On the BSE, Trans Financial, LCC Infotech, SPS Intnl, Mercury Trade Links and Suncity Synth hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Salem Erode Invest, Sarthak Ind, LE Travenues Techno, Kinetic Engg and Kalpa Commercial Ltd.
touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
