NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Binny Mills(57.48%), Quint Digital Media(19.97%), KCD Industries India(19.96%), Viji Finance(19.80%), Madhusudan Ind(18.20%), Mishka Exim(16.44%), Jackson Invest.(15.68%) and Marg Techno Projects(15.08%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 501.51 points down at 81757.73, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 143.05 points down at 24968.4.
In the Nifty50 index, 15 stocks closed in the green, while 35 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Binny Mills, Guj Mineral Dev., Garuda Construction, Parsharti Invst and Cupid Ltd hit their fresh 52-week high, while Anjani Foods, Kansal Fibres, Cityman Ltd, Mediaone Global Entertainment and Trans Financial touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
