Russian activist Gleb Babichsaid Monday afternoon that he was detained by cops in Moscow and taken to a military enlistment office.Babich, an ecologist who installed afailed quote to get on the tally for the 2024 Moscow City Duma elections, stated the event happened while he was filming police raids versus undocumented migrants outside the Teply Stan metro station.Seconds later on, a riot law enforcement officer got on me, stamped my face into a police van, hit me several times on the legs [and] dragged me into the van, Babich composed on Telegram, including that he was threatened with charges of terrorism.Pro-Kremlin media reported that numerous hundred undocumented migrant employees were detained throughout the raid, a few of whom were taken away in cops vans.Babichsaid a police officer took his passport after finding that he was not signed up for military service due to his deferment as a trainee.
After that, police drove the activist to a military enlistment office before letting him go free.It is not clear why he was brought there, his supporters later on composed on Telegram.
