Early landslide warnings have been issued by the National Building and Research Organisation (NBRO) for multiple areas in nine districts including Colombo, as heavy rainfall continues across parts of the island.Accordingly, a Level 2 (Amber) warning issued for several areas in the Galle, Kalutara, Matara and Ratnapura districts is as follows:Galle Elpitiya and Neluwa Divisional Secretariat Divisions (DSD) and surrounding areasKalutara Ingirya, Walallawita and Mathugama DSDs and surrounding areasMatara Akuressa and Pitabeddara DSDs and surrounding areasRatnapura- Kuruwita, Ratnapura, Elapatha, Eheliyagoda and Kalawana DSDs and surrounding areasMeanwhile, a Level 1 (Yellow) warning was issued for the following areas:Colombo Seethawaka and Padukka Divisional Secretariat Divisions (DSD) and surrounding areasGalle Nagoda, Galle Four Gravets, Thawalama, Ambalangoda, Niyagama, Akmeemana, Imaduwa, Bope Poddala, Yakkalamulla and Baddegama DSDs and surrounding areasGampaha Mirigama DSD and surrounding areasHambantota Walasmulla DSD and surrounding areas
