A mother and her teenage daughter have been killed in a tragic accident involving a bus and a three-wheeler that took place in the Kirulugama area of Palapathwela, Matale today (22).The three-wheeler, traveling from Wattegama to Anuradhapura, had collided with a bus heading from Dambulla to Kandy.At the time of the accident, a family of four including the mother, father, son, and daughter were traveling in the three-wheeler, Ada Derana reporter said.The deceased have been identified as 54-year-old Dhammika Padmini and her 17-year-old daughter, Sachini Tharaka.The son, who was driving the three-wheeler, and the father, who was a passenger, are currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Matale District General Hospital, according to the reporter.Matale Police are conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
