A person operating an illegal firearms manufacturing workshop in Wawegama, Sooriyawewa, was jailed throughout a raid carried out by the Special Task Force (STF) personnel from the Hambantota camp.Police reported that a locally-made $ T-Katas $ type gun, parts of an unfinished firearm, and other weapon elements were discovered throughout the operation.The detained suspect, a 33-year-old resident of the area, has been handed over to the Sooriyawewa Police Station for further examination.
