
The Sri Lankan public handed another strong mandate to ruling the National Peoples Power at the 2025 Local Government (LG) election.Although the variety of votes and the general vote share lowered in comparison to the recent Presidential and Parliamentary elections, the NPP polled more than double the quantity received by the primary opposition, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.
