
TEHRAN- Iran imported non-oil commodities valued at $1.2 billion from Russia throughout the 11-month period from March 20, 2024 to February 18, 2025, the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) announced.
Foroud Asgari stated that Russia was Iran's sixth leading source of import in the discussed 11-month duration.
Last week, Russian Energy Minister Sergey Yevgenyevich Tsivilyov visited Iran's Embassy in Moscow to meet with Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali.
The conference led to a contract to hold the 18th meeting of the two countries Joint Economic Committee during April 22-24.
Discussions during the meeting focused on preparations for the pointed out meeting, as well as the present status and future outlook of bilateral relations in the energy sector.
