By Guilherme Carboni*(Opinion) Negotiations involving licensing essential patents under 5G technology have yielded several legal disputes in different countries.One of them involved Ericsson and Apple over the unauthorized use of patented technologies in products such as the iPhone and iPad, which ended with an agreement signed at the end of 2022 to establish the global licensing of patents by Ericsson to Apple.The announcement of this agreement was made a few days after an important decision by the Superior Court of Justice in Brazil, which prohibited the commercialization of Apple's 5G products in the country, except upon .
