The Bolivian administration has rebuffed an overture from ex-president Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada, known as Goni, to revert to the Republic structure.The government believes that the Plurinational State, introduced by previous president Evo Morales, has led to substantial progress, stated UN Ambassador Diego Pary.Gonis bid, termed retrograde by Pary, falls short of contributing to Bolivias cultural, religious, political, and economic diversity advancements.Goni, residing in the United States since his 2003 resignation amidst the Gas War protests, proposed to revise the Political Constitution, introduce a Prime Minister role, and shift the government base back to Sucre.Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada, or Goni.
