On Thursday, Palmeiras secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Inter de Limeira in the ninth round of the Campeonato Paulista.The match, held at Estdio Major Jos Levy Sobrinho in Limeira, saw goals from Mauricio, Flaco Lpez, and Gustavo Gmez, ending Palmeiras two-game winless streak in the competition.This win brings Palmeiras closer to the playoff qualification zone.
The team remains third in their group with 16 points, just two behind Ponte Preta and three behind So Bernardo, who currently occupy the quarterfinal spots.Meanwhile, Inter de Limeira remains at the bottom of Group A with six points.
Palmeiras now shifts focus to their upcoming clash against So Paulo on Sunday at Allianz Parque.The derby, known as Choque-Rei, is set for 6:30 PM (Braslia time).

In the third minute, Raphael Veigas header hit the post, though the play was ruled offside due to Flaco Lpezs positioning.Minutes later, Facundo Torres tested Inters goalkeeper Igo Gabriel with a shot from outside the box.
By the 15th minute, Palmeiras broke through when Gustavo Gmez delivered a long pass to Mauricio, who lobbed the ball over Gabriel to open the scoring.Palmeiras continued to press.
Facundo Torres nearly doubled the lead with a powerful strike that was saved.
Just before halftime, Lpez headed in a corner kick from Veiga to make it 2-0.In the second half, Palmeiras maintained control but faced resistance from Inters defense.
Gustavo Gmez sealed the victory in the 65th minute with another header off a Veiga free kick.
Lpez almost added a spectacular long-range goal later but missed narrowly.Inter struggled to threaten Palmeiras goalkeeper Weverton throughout the game.
Late attempts by Rafael Silva and Allan were easily contained.With this commanding performance, Palmeiras not only claimed three points but also reignited their Paulista campaign ahead of a critical derby match.
