NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading in a positive terrain with the Nifty FMCG index trading 0.77 per cent up at 30,357.45 on Monday.
Shares of Jubilant Foodworks (up 6.14 per cent), Godrej Consumer Products (up 3.12 per cent), Colgate-Palmolive (India) (up 2.97 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever (up 2.42 per cent) were the top performers.Dabur India (up 1.15 per cent), Marico (up 0.90 per cent) and United Breweries (up 0.33 per cent) too were the top gainers in the index.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 12.20 points at 10,888.95 while BSE Sensex was up 50.14 points at 36,244.44 around 01:52 pm.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Sun Pharma, Ashok Leyland, Idea Cellular, ICICI Bank, Vedanta, BHEL, Tata Motors, SBI, Bank of Baroda, Tata Steel, Motherson Sumi, Hindalco Industries, Indiabulls Housing Finance and Indian Oil Corp were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
