A delegation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) led by Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi will travel to Doha on Saturday for talks with US officials.The delegation is expected to meet US Special Representative Thomas West and special envoy for Afghan Women, Girls and Human Rights, Rina Amiri on Sunday.IEA's Foreign Ministry said that the delegation will discuss lifting of sanctions, removal of IEA members& names from the blacklist, the release of Da Afghanistan Bank's frozen funds and the violation of Afghanistan's airspace.The ministry said that the sides will also discuss bilateral relations.The delegation is expected to also meet with Qatari officials to discuss bilateral ties.US State Department has confirmed that West and Amiri will meet in Doha with a delegation of IEA representatives and technocratic professionals from key Afghan ministries to discuss critical interests in Afghanistan.Priority issues will include humanitarian support for the people of Afghanistan, economic stabilization, fair and dignified treatment of all Afghans, including women and girls, security issues, and efforts to counter narcotics production and trafficking,& it said in a statement.The post Muttaqi to hold talks with US officials in Doha first appeared on Ariana News.
