Dubai Capitals overpower MI Emirates in ILT20

Dubai Capitals eased to a seven wicket win against MI Emirates in Dubai on Saturday in a match that saw Afghanistan's opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz smash a whopping 81 off just 39 balls.While star Australian batsman David Warner enjoyed the perfect start as captain, it was Gurbaz who had the crowd enthralled with his eight boundaries and four sixes in the chase against a target of 160.Sunday's lineup meanwhile includes the clash between Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and Desert Vipers at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, January 21.The live pre-match broadcast on Ariana Television will start at 2:30 pm local time and the match will be screened from 3pm.Abu Dhabi Knight Riders had a season to forget in the ILT20 2023, as the side failed to make it to the knockout stages of the tournament as they finished in last place, winning just one of the 10 matches that they played.On the other hand, Desert Vipers will look to get off to a flying start to the tournament as the side finished in second place in the standings in 2023, losing the summit clash of the tournament.
The side will hope for a different outcome this time around.Following on immediately after the early match, the second match of the day will see MI Emirates take on Gulf Giants.This match will be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi and Afghanistan's Fazalhaq Farooqi will most likely be in the MI Emirates& lineup.Farooqi's fellow-countryman, Mujeeb ur-Rahman, will meanwhile be on the opposing side as he is in the Gulf Giants squad.This match gets underway at 7pm Kabul time but a pre-match show will be broadcast on Ariana Television from 6:30 pm.The post Dubai Capitals overpower MI Emirates in ILT20 first appeared on Ariana News.
