At a joint international expo of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, new commercial contracts were signed between the private sectors of the two countries.Investors who showcased Afghan products at this expo say that they signed new contracts with Uzbekistan on the second day of the exhibition.According to them, these contracts have been signed in the fields of paint, dried fruit, carpets, detergents and health products.Afghan investors hope that by the end of this expo, contracts worth millions of dollars will be signed between the private sectors of the two countries.Investors said that this expo plays an important role in expanding the economic relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.Afghan investors hope that by the end of this expo, contracts worth millions of dollars will be signedDevelopment and trade between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, transit discussions, joint investments were discussed in this expo.
These are all opportunities that, if realized, can be effective for economic, industrial and investment growth in Afghanistan and better relations with Central Asian countries as well as Uzbekistan,& said Sakhi Ahmad Payman, the first deputy of the Chamber of Industries and Mines.The Ministry of Industry and Commerce also said that the joint international expo was held to expand trade and economic relations with Uzbekistan, and Afghan officials met with Uzbekistan officials about economic development.In this meeting, the two sides discussed the expansion of trade and transit relations, the balancing of trade between the two countries through the conclusion of a unilateral trade agreement for the benefit of Afghanistan, the conclusion of investment and transit agreements, the finalization of the quarantine memorandum between the two countries, cooperation in the Afghan railway sector.
They talked about cooperation over the Surkhan-Pol-e-Khumri power line.In this meeting, the two sides also discussed the expansion of trade and transit relations; the balancing of trade between the two countries through the conclusion of a unilateral trade agreement for the benefit of Afghanistan; concluding investment and transit agreements; finalizing the quarantine agreement between the two countries; cooperation in the Afghan railway sector; and cooperation in the transfer of electricity through the Pul-e-Khumri-Surkhan power line,& said Abdulsalam Javad Akhundzadeh, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce spokesman.On the opening day of this expo, the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Nuruddin Azizi emphasized the need to strengthen trade and transit relations between Kabul and Tashkent.Azizi also called on Uzbek investors to invest in various sectors in Afghanistan.
