Paraguayan President Mario Abdo Bentez stated that his administrations primary objective was to consolidate democracy in the country, which was established in 1989 following the dictatorship of Alfredo Stroessner. In his report to the newly inaugurated Congress, Abdo Bentez highlighted the progress made and challenges faced during his five-year term, which he described as the most difficult since historical conflicts.Addressing the deputies and senators virtually, Abdo Bentez emphasized the successful year in consolidating democracy as the administrations main goal. The presidents message was attended in person by the president of the Congress, Senator Silvio Ovelar, and the head of the Chamber of Deputies, Ral Latorre.Mario Abdo Bentez.
