Taxpayers need to log in to thewebsite for filing income tax returns (ITRs) in order to link the PAN card with the Aadhaar number.Here's a step-by-step guide on how you can link your Aadhaar number with your PAN easily using the Income Tax Department's website:Log in tothe Income Tax Department's e-filing portal, using the correct registered username and password.Enter the name and the Aadhaar number in the given fields and click on "Link Now".The process will work only if the basic details such as name and date of birth match exactly on both the identification documents.The I-T departmentvalidates the details entered by the user with the Unique Identification Authority of India - the official body which manages the government's Aadhaar biometric ID programme.
