Hindustan Unilever Q2 Earnings: Net profit rose 8.86 per cent to Rs 2,187 crore Hindustan Unilever Q2 FY22 Results: Hindustan Unilever Limited - the country's leading fast-moving consumer goods maker reported a net profit of Rs 2,187 crore on a standalone basis, registering a growth of 8.86 per cent in the July-September quarter from Rs 2,009 crore during the same quarter last year.
The total income stood at Rs 12,837 crore, compared to Rs 11,693 crore in the year-ago period.
On a sequential basis,Hindustan Unilever's standalone net profit rose6.11per cent, compared toRs 2,061crore reported atthe end of the preceding April-June quarter of the current financial year(Also Read:Hindustan Unilever Net Profit Rises 9.5% To Rs 2,061 Crore In June Quarter)The company's revenue from operations in the Septemberquarter stood at Rs 12,516 crore, compared to Rs 11,276crore in the corresponding quarter last year, marking a growth of 10.99per cent year-on-yearThe company's total sales in the September quarter grew by 11per cent, domestic consumer business sales grew11per cent, while its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization stood at Rs 3,132 crore.The company's home care business grew at 15per cent drivenby double-digit growth in fabric wash.
The household care segment grewon a strong base.
The company undertook calibrated price increases across fabric wash and household care portfolios to partly offset the high inflation in input costs.The beauty and personal care business grew 10per cent led by hair care, color cosmetics,and skin care.Skin care and colour cosmetics delivered high double-digit growthas mobility improved.
Soaps grew on a high base led by growthin beauty andpremium segmentsFoodandrefreshment grew seven per centduring the quarter.
Tea grew on a strong base and strengthened its market leadership.
Health food drinks volumes grew double-digit, according to HUL.The company's board declared an interim dividend of Rs 15 per equity share of the face value of Re 1 each for the financial year ending March 31, 2022.Pond's Gold Beauty' range, limited edition lip colours in Lakme' and Vaseline Lip Therapy' range were launched during the September quarter.
