Government has termed reports of fertiliser lack in many parts of the country as baselessEven as there have been reports of fertiliser lack being dealt with by farmers across states like Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana, the government on Thursday called these as false and baseless and stated that adequate fertiliser supply is readily available in the country.Minister of state for chemicals and fertilisers, Bhagwanth Khuba said in an interview that intricate fertiliser use has been on the increase in states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and parts of Karnataka.Urging farmers not to think in rumours of fertilisers' shortage, Mr Khuba said, intricate fertiliser use has actually been increasing in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and parts of Karnataka in the past two years.
Farmers in the state will benefit if they embrace intricate fertilisers.

He said that there are rumours in specific quarters that there is going to be a fertiliser lack in the nation and farmers should stock adequate supply for the next four months.Terming these allegations as false, Mr Khuba stated, As the minister in charge of the department of fertilisers, I ensure farmers that they will be provided the amount of fertiliser they need.
He further informed media individuals that production of nano urea has been greater in the present financial and that production of nano DAP will start from next year.Rabi season requires two lakh metric tonnes of DAP, which the minister said, will likewise be produced.
