
The top-seeded Guangsha Lions beat three-time defending champions the Liaoning Flying Leopards 109-90 in Game 1 of their best-of-five semifinal series in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) Playoffs in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province, on Saturday, taking a 1-0 lead in the last-four showdown.Guangsha saw six of its players score in double-digits, including all five starters.
Barry Brown drilled four three-pointers from 10 attempts, en route to a game-high 24 points, while also distributing six assists.
The home team's star point guard, Sun Minghui, contributed 13 points before exiting in the third quarter with an ankle injury.Liaoning had just one starter, Dez Wells, reach double-figures.
