NEW DELHI: Shares of private sector banks were trading in the positive zone with the Nifty Private Bank index up 1.04 per cent at 15,285.15
around 02:34 pm on Friday.
Shares of YES Bank (up 2.25 per cent), South Indian Bank (up 1.65 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 1.62 per cent) and
Axis Bank (up 1.08 per cent) were the top performers in the index.
IndusInd Bank (up 0.98 per cent), IDFC Bank (up 0.82 per cent), HDFC Bank
(up 0.78 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.57 per cent) too were trading higher
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 100.60 points at 10,880.40 while the BSE Sensex was up 323.32 points at 36,130.60
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 45 were trading in the green, while 5 were in the red
Shares of YES Bank, SAIL, Indian Oil Corp, SBI, Sun Pharma, ITC, ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, Vodafone Idea and Coal India were among the
most traded shares on the NSE.
