QUETTA: Neurosurgeon Ibrahim Khalil on Tuesday returned home, 48 days after being kidnapped from the provincial capital.Talking to the
media, Doctors Action Committee chairman Dr Tahir Mandokel said he was informed by Dr Khailil he paid Rs50 million ransom to secure his
release.Mandokhel said Dr Ibrahim Khalil was subjected to torture and he spent a difficult time during his abduction
He said government had no role in his release.
Family said the doctor was released in Karachi from where he took a flight to
Quetta.Muhammad Umar, nephew of Doctor Khalil said his uncle was fairly tired and mentally disturbed
Earlier, reports citing police officials claimed that the doctor hailed a taxi to reach home after being released on Maal Road in
