NEW DELHI: YES Bank with over 26.47 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Friday.
Shares of CG
Power and Industries (number of shares traded: 16.89 crore), Reliance Communications (number of shares traded: 9.10 crore), DHFL (number of
shares traded: 5.42 crore), Ashok Leyland (number of shares traded: 4.53 crore), Reliance Power (number of shares traded: 4.44 crore), NALCO
(number of shares traded: 4.34 crore), NTPC (number of shares traded: 3.16 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 3.02 crore) and
GMR Infra (number of shares traded: 3.01 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.
YES Bank (Rs 5589.14 crore) was also
leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.
It was followed by Larsen Toubro (Rs 849.49 crore), RIL (Rs 813.18 crore),
Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 750.11 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 724.48 crore), SBI (Rs 702.38 crore), DHFL (Rs 652.76 crore), Zee Ent
(Rs 537.09 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 519.34 crore) and HDFC (Rs 479.70 crore).
The NSE Nifty index was trading 15.20 points down at 10,730.85
while the BSE Sensex was down 48.54 points at 35,827.68 around 09:16 am
In the Nifty index, YES Bank (up 30.57 per cent), Zee Entertainment Enterprises (up 6.19 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 6.09 per
cent), JSW Steel (up 3.48 per cent) and Tata Motors (up 3.13 per cent) were among the top gainers
While Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 4.19 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (down 4.04 per cent), Hindalco Industries (down 3.25 per
cent), Bharti Airtel (down 3.14 per cent) and GAIL (India) (down 2.39 per cent) were the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
