NEW DELHI: Media shares were trading on a mixed note in Monday's afternoon session.
Shares of PVR (up 3.61 per cent), Network 18 Media
Investments (up 1.59 per cent), Zee Entertainment Enterprises (up 0.67 per cent) and Hathway Cable Datacom (up 0.57 per cent) were the top
gainers in the index.
Eros International Media (down 4.02 per cent), Zee Media Corporation (down 3.69 per cent), DB Corp (down 1.59 per
cent) and TV Today Network (down 1.41 per cent) were trading in the red
The Nifty Media index was trading 0.61 per cent up at 2519.15 around 02:27 pm
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 10.10 points at 11,416.75 while the BSE Sensex was down 58.64 points at 37,965.68.
Among the 50 stocks
in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red
Shares of Indian Oil Corp, YES Bank, Bank of Baroda, SAIL, Ashok Leyland, ICICI Bank, SBI, Tata Motors, NTPC, BEL, BHEL, Axis Bank, RIL and
HPCL were among the most traded shares on the NSE
