NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading in the red in Tuesday's morning session.
Shares of TVS Motor Company (down 3.19 per cent), Eicher
Motors (down 2.65 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (down 2.03 per cent) and Bajaj Auto (down 1.56 per cent) were the top losers in the index
Ashok Leyland (down 1.14 per cent ), Maruti Suzuki India (down 1.01 per cent), Mahindra Mahindra (down 1.00 per cent) and Tata Motors
(down 0.94 per cent) too were trading with losses
The Nifty Auto index was trading 1.13 per cent down at 8529.20 around 10:00 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 2.20 points at 11,464.40 while the BSE Sensex was up 36.51 points at 38,131.58.
Among the 50 stocks in
the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red
Shares of Bank of Baroda, Aditya Birla Capital, NTPC, Indian Oil Corp, SAIL, SBI, Ashok Leyland, YES Bank, Sun Pharma, ONGC, Vedanta, JSW
Steel, Petronet LNG, Tata Motors and RIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE
