INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading in the positive zone in Tuesday's morning session.
Shares of Punjab National Bank (up 2.60 per
cent) , Union Bank of India (up 2.45 per cent) , Bank of India (up 2.37 per cent) and Vijaya Bank (up 2.11 per cent) were the top gainers in
the index.
Oriental Bank of Commerce (up 1.60 per cent) , Canara Bank (up 1.32 per cent) , Indian Bank (up 1.08 per cent) and Central Bank
of India (up 1.03 per cent) too were trading with gains.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.90 per cent up at 3146.05 around 10:09 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 0.85 points at 11,461.35 while the BSE Sensex was up 18.58 points at 38,113.65.
Among the 50 stocks in
the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
Shares of Bank of Baroda, Aditya Birla Capital, NTPC, Indian Oil
Corp, SAIL, SBI, Ashok Leyland, YES Bank, ONGC, Sun Pharma and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
