NEW DELHI: Rate-sensitive bank, auto and realty stocks remained mostly unchanged after the RBI cut the repo rate by 25 basis points and kept
the stance neutral.
The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.32 per cent up at 8,508 while the realty index was 0.66 per cent up at 274 around
The Nifty Bank index pared losses and traded flat at at 30,090 around that time
Shares of Hero MotoCorp (up 1.50 per cent), Exide Industries (up 0.98 per cent), Tata Motors (up 0.94 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India (up
0.92 per cent) and Bajaj Auto (up 0.89 per cent) were trading with gains in the auto index.
Shares of Godrej Properties (up 2.38 per cent),
Prestige Estates Projects (up 1.71 per cent), Phoenix Mills (up 1.52 per cent) and DLF (up 0.99 per cent) were the gainers in the realty
index.
From the banking space, shares of Federal Bank (up 0.84 per cent), Axis Bank (up 0.49 per cent), State Bank of India (up 0.41 per
cent), Punjab National Bank (up 0.32 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.29 per cent) and Bank of Baroda (up 0.15 per cent) were in the
green.
On the other hand, shares of YES Bank (down 1.90 per cent), RBL Bank (down 1.15 per cent), IndusInd Bank (down 1 per cent), IDFC
First Bank (down 0.73 per cent) and ICICI Bank (down 0.24 per cent) were in the red in the Nifty Bank index
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 14 points at 11,630, while the BSE Sensex was 56 points down at 38,821.
Among the 50 stocks in the
Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red
